Taking a Stand Against Racial Inequality

Updated: Jul 20, 2020

On February 23rd, Ahmaud Arbery was jogging near his home when two white men shot and killed Arbery in an act of unjustified vigilante justice.  On March 13th, Breonna Taylor was shot and killed by police when they forced themselves into her and her boyfriend's apartment with a "no-knock" warrant. The men the police were looking for did not live in that apartment. On May 25th, George Floyd died in police custody when officers pinned him to the ground with one holding his knee against Floyd's neck for 8 minutes. Even when Floyd lost consciousness, the officer did not remove his knee. And Floyd had only been accused of using a counterfeit $20 bill. This should *not* be our normal. There is more to these stories than cannot be summarized in just a few sentences. You can read more in the articles linked above.

For the month of June, I will match your donation to a #BlackLivesMatter fund with a free 30-minute session or review of your resume or college essay.
